The Academy of Speech and Drama

The Academy of Speech and Drama is committed to building the confidence,

creativity and communication in children encouraging them to excel in school

and beyond. We have a fantastic track record with many of our students making

huge improvements in the classroom and socially.

Our weekly peripatetic classes are held during the term time in blocks

of 10 weeks at lunchtime or afterschool. We can also be booked to cover PPA time.

WHAT WE OFFER
30 minute or 1 hour classes
Poetry, acting, improvisation, public speaking, discussion, vocal technique, drama theory
Group and solo work in every lesson
Work towards optional LAMDA performance exams (exam held out of school at weekends)
Professional and experienced tutors, trained in Drama/English, all fully DBS checked
Tried and tested lesson plans to ensure individual time to all children

BEHIND THE SCENES WE WILL…
Handle all admin including collecting fees, keeping registers and exam entries
Provide letters to parents and collect all sign-up slips from the school
Have direct contact with parents and deal with any queries
Keep the school updated on the children’s progress and attendance if required
Provide our own safeguarding policy and public liability insurance

All we require is a space large enough for our classes. There is no cost to the school for afterschool and lunchtime classes, pupils pay us directly for their lessons. There is a fee for PPA cover.
